Last day

So we are hanging around ikebukuro doing random things today until we have to go to the airport.
 I have a million of these group pictures from the last 10 days....here are a few more.

Day....Saturday

Saturday we woke up a little later than normal and headed out to Akihabara......the eletronics capital of Japan but also the Otaku capital.....and that means cosplay, maids, and strange old men that couldn't get married hanging about.....
After a few huge anime/manga/junk stores we headed to an open art gallery...it is hard to tell but this is a t-rex made of toys.....Masaru, Jyun, and Kuramo were along for the ride today!

We all had our fill of the strangeness so we went a little out of the way and took an old fashioned street trolley home and finally got to eat udon at a fancy place.....

Akihabara bound!

Last night Kuramo and Tomoko gave us a most friendly welcome into their apartment for pizza and silly time followed by help finding good Japanese bands.....  Today the weather is good and we are on our way to Akihabara where electronics, otakus and toys abound.  No photos till tonight!  

Rainy day 7

This is what we did late last night.....cheap cup ramen night!

Today we are going to Shimokitazawa then to my company for a  quick visit and

my friend Kuramo's house for some dinner. 

Day 6 Kamakura!

Went to Kamakura today to see the country and visit this statue of Buddha....750+ years old and you can walk inside it!  It was raining but they were all good sports!  We also shopped at a weapon store (don't worry) and everyone at Japanese curry.  Tonight....Karaoke????

Day what?

Yesterday we walked a ton and it has been taking a toll on us!  Ikebkuro to the biggest anime and manga shop in Japan...on the way through there we checked department store food offerings...insanity!
We also went to the biggest Tower records in Japan and explored more of Shibuya....Then it was off to meet Masako and Yuto and see Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown.....crazy upscale shopping and moviestar land. We also walked through a more traditional area of town in Azabujuban where Masako showed us all some traditional Tenugui, senbei and sweets shops!

Day 4 was Typhoony

We shopped till we dropped today at the Sunshine building and hit some good bookstores and Tower records!  This little guy was in the indoor mall we spend a lot of time in. 

At night we had Chinese food then walked/ran home screaming in a typhoon!

Life experience +5!
